The Gift

You should speak your truth But do it gently And if you're unable to speak it gently Then you may speak it harshly But speak it harshly rarely And if you find yourself speaking it harshly often Then know it's not THE truth But if you find that you must speak a lie Speak the lie But speak it truthfully And if you find you must speak harshly often Then speak harshly often, gently I packed the good into the bad, The sense into the non sense Some truth into the lies A little gentleness into the harshness And God into the man And wrapped it up and gave it to you as a gift Don't entangle yourself in the wrapping Unwrap it. Insanity in Sanity

Delusions as a concept exists because reality is supposedly shared. Because we have an idea of shared reality, we have the idea of delusions, and when people's realities go beyond or away from the shared reality, we call them delusions. And yet, how you go beyond shared realities is a very interesting topic in itself. On the one hand, there are the people who are creating their own realities everyday. Something made up out of the mind. And since that has happened, they are seeing something that no-one else is able to see, so the delusion seems obvious. On the other hand, there are the people who are able to see things others aren't. The very fundamental qualification of a leader is their ability to see. To perceive a possibility and visualize a path to it that others cannot. A leader is able to see the details of a possibility that others can't. An artist is able to see a picture in great detail in their mind, before they ever put it on paper. Don't get me wrong...

The Subtlety of Survival

Someone who has read articles of people drowning a lot can only think of drowning when they see the water. And in that water, all they can do is try to stay afloat. And in trying to stay afloat, the harder they try to keep their head above water, the more their body goes under. And in that trying to stay afloat, the illusion of drowning becomes truer, till it really happens. Yet, it's irresponsible to try to convey to a drowning person, "Stop trying to float!! the very nature of this water is to push you up! Just lie still and relax!", because that seems like someone asking you to stop surviving. The only thing to do is either dive in, grab them and take them outside - and they may struggle against you, scratch you, claw you, cuz they're not convinced you have the intent or the capability to save them, Or to throw them a rope or a float, essentially a concession. Please unlearn the non-sense you're reading in news, and tv, and take a leap of faith Everyone in the ...

The awkward moment when you break character, and tell a not-to-be believed story

So a lot of things happened. I am not sure where I left you guys the last time, but here's some updates. I have now been working at my big tech company for about 4 years. The plan was to do it for 3 years, then get out and work on something more meaningful to me. But there were a few more things that happened in between. I got into yoga and meditation big time for about 2 years.  It was the kind of getting into yoga and meditation, where people meet you after a few months, and do not recognize you, because you look different, you talk different, and you generally have a different air about you. I was deep enough, that I would wake up at 3:40 am everyday and sometimes be doing 2-3 hours of yoga a day before going into work. This one time I went 5 days while eating about 3 oranges, and 1 lunch -> that too was mainly because I got tired of the fact that I wasn't hungry. I also remember sitting at work one day looking very intently at my skip manager, and suddenly seeing the c...

Indian yogis

Interesting excerpts. A lot that can be validated by recorded history. "Hail to thee, O teacher of Brahmins!" Onesikritos said after seeking out Dandamis in his forest retreat. "The son of the mighty God Zeus, being Alexander who is the Sovereign Lord of all men, asks you to go to him, and if you comply, he will reward you with great gifts, but if you refuse, he will cut off your head!" The yogi received this fairly compulsive invitation calmly, and "did not so much as lift up his head from his couch of leaves." "I also am a son of Zeus, if Alexander be such," he commented. "I want nothing that is Alexander's, for I am content with what I have, while I see that he wanders with his men over sea and land for no advantage, and is never coming to an end of his wanderings. "Go and tell Alexander that God the Supreme King is never the Author of insolent wrong, but is the Creator of light, of peace, of life, of water, of the bod...

The fire and the sun

What's the difference between a fire and the sun I ask? Maybe just the size of the task? The scale at which they operate? The basis of life to exist and procreate? But every night the sun goes, and leaves just a pale moon's reflection behind In the desert, on a cold winter night, it's the fire that sustains your kind. Did I just try to negate the basis of a phenomenon to satisfy a little fire? But I say why bow to the sun and ignore the fire? The tiny fire is an expression of the sun near you. Just like Him, burning itself away to sustain you, indiscriminate warm and bright He might light up the sky, but he lights up the night What to do poor guy only gets to eat coal and wood, Smoking and puffing,  because that's all gather you could And yes, he's not big enough to warm you from a million miles away But he's yours to keep, whenever, wherever, night or day. What meaning has size or scale? In an infinite abyss anyway But that's not really it isn't it It...

Walls

The walls you build to protect yourself imprison you too They are walls they can't differentiate false from true The walls you build to make sure nothing happens to you, make sure that nothing ever happens to you They are walls, they can't differentiate good or bad for you The walls that you build to keep out the rain, keep the sun out too Stop building these walls you fool Or if the rain has been hard and you obsessed over walls build your doors and windows a little more tall What you're trying to protect cannot be protected Your time's limited and your life neglected Build some walls, but don't forget the doors Embrace the sun, and the rain too as it pours Your choices are either to live as life comes willingly or live as life comes unwillingly life comes nevertheless, and then it goes.

Fire and Frost bite

Fire is dangerous. But the danger is visible. It's excessive energy, scary, volatile, visible. But frost-bite, or the cold icy dangers work in a very different way. You see, it's easier to guard against fire, because you can see the mercurial nature of things. It's harmful, but it feels like a known danger. Because among other things, the transition from life affirming to lethal is quite obvious. You immediately know that you need to employ all your self preservation techniques from this moment forward. In other words, it's a known danger. But the cold creeps in slowly and quietly. You don't get to guard against it, and even though sometimes the dangers are visible (like how there's snow everywhere), but your delusions can make you think you're in a tropical paradise , and make you even want to strip to your underwear. It's like the cold lovingly comes and takes your armour away, and before you can realize that's what it's doing, you...

Wubba Lubba Dub Dub

Depression is not about being sad. Well, it's as much about being sad as having a cold is about sneezing. Sure, that's the most obvious symptom. But trying to fix depression by trying to make someone laugh or feel a bit better is about as effective as putting a finger under the nose to stop the sneezing. Okay, crappy analogy, sure, but the point I'm trying to drive is, that the very obvious sadness is just a consequence or a symptom of a deeper rooted problem. And the deeper rooted problem is that of disconnect. The kind of disconnect that prevents you from getting truly involved with life. Whether it comes from feeling that you're worse off than everything around you, or way smarter/better than everything around you. The result is the same. This lack of involvement in your life means, that all solutions that are tried, to pull you out, become ineffective because of the distance you maintain from everything. After everything passes, whether it's a great social...

The one about the Universe

Uhh, I have theories, that sound so freaking far fetched, that you'd have trouble seeing me as a sane or credible person, however, I can mostly account for a sound basis for why I believe that theory, but it kind of goes beyond all our current ideas of western science, philosophy, history and the world..! I wish my writing ability had not decreased, I've tried to articulate them on the blog, but they always turn out sounding so bad..! Anyway, let's choose a starting point. Modern society or the current form of civilization or modern history as they call it, according to the world, is about 6000 years old. i.e. we believe that civilization among humans started to happen at max about 6000 years ago. Mesopotamia is about 3100 BC, Mohan jodaro is about 2500 BC as is harappa, about 2600 BC. Humans in the current evolved form as homo sapiens have existed on the planet Earth for about 200,000 years. and when I talk about the sapiens, I'm not even talking about homo nean...

The Nature of Truth

2+2=4 is a fact. A universal fact. an absolute fact one would say. But informationally (if I may make my own words) speaking, it is limited. Let me be a bit clearer. Someone, somewhere, someday wrote an equation, 2x + 3y = 5; they tried multiple values of x and y, and found that it looked like a line. Someone else, tried out another equation, 3x + 8y = 24, and they realized this equation also looked like a line when it was plotted. Someone then tried this with a few more numbers and realized, that a line looks like this ax + by = c where a,b,c are constants, and x,y are real numbers. This new equation with variables, was informationally superior to 2+2=4. It related a set of numbers instead of just a couple of specific numbers, and it defined properties of theirs. However, it added variables, or uncertain numbers to the equation, and for it to be true, it defined domains for those variables. Thus, one could argue, trading off certainty or even even absolute-ness for informat...

Another one already?

So here's the thing. I've lost it. The writing-ability. And while earlier for the longest time I orchestrated the content of the blog for an audience, partly because I didn't wanna reveal all of me in these posts, cuz a whole bunch of people who knew me read this (almost exclusively :P ), I feel like I've reached a point where I really couldn't give a tiny rat's ass about creating impressions anymore. So this is my space. I can't do humour the way I used to, in that brilliant way, so I'll just be boring and self-centered, cuz well, hey, I don't think I'm writing for an audience. Not anymore anyhow. The US, is probably a nice country, but you know like they say, no place like home. The technical ability work is heavy duty so I was wondering if anyone out there has any mentally stimulating art? I am super sick of big bang theory, cuz it has nothing interesting to offer, can anyone suggest light and deep interesting stuff with a story th...

The USA

So well, I'm in the US now, studying for a masters in computer science. Also, I'm in a long distance relationship with a girl in India. It's quite a movie story really. We met in office in India. She never wanted to fall for someone, cuz she had her life planned out as resulting in an arranged marriage with a nice guy from her community. But she was just too smart for her own good. We bonded over conversations about the Bhagwad Gita and Mahabharat, and the Universe and ideas and ideologies. And here we are now, in an overseas long distance relationship, while she's probably gonna be meeting some boy in November, you know, the arranged marriage scene. We've decided to take action or do the planning to bring me into the picture only after that. Let's see where it goes. Btw before I forget,  Rick and Morty  is the shit. I also enjoy studying people now. Cultural Differences. And here's what. I'm gonna do a nice big post about Hinduism, and our Indi...

A comeback?

I might be coming back in this space soon. (fingers crossed) I know I'd lost my sense of humour, et all, but I am feeling like it might be headed back. Also, amongst other aspects of my life, 1. I've finished college. Been a long time since here ! 2. I've started work in Jaipur. 3. Me and the ex  are officially done, we've helped each other move on as well. Not that I need lots of help doing that . Although, of course this was a more real thing than any of the old  ones, she was my best-friend  too. But at least now I'm  alone  and I know it. 4. I wish this blog were anonymous. 5. I also had a knee surgery last month, they removed some damaged meniscus from my right knee (it had gone bad in Kazakhstan ) It's still recovering for now. 6. :::: :::: So my first week at office had been rather interesting. And by that I just mean, that I got fed free lunches, and one set of free breakfasts and dinners at office. At one of these lunches, I opened a bo...

BULLSHIT

Okay, so seriously what's with this hyper emotional world that we're living in all of a sudden? Meh, let's get to the point. For the past couple of weeks I've been seeing on my facebook, stuff like Well congratulations girls. It's an amazing thing that you're fair and you don't care if you're lovely, because, boy that's what we all do in here. And of course, we generalize doctors as having bad handwriting, in much the same way as Hitler generalized jews to be assholes who needed to be killed. So a kudos to you miss doctor for really breaking away from that stereotype. I actually shouldn't even jab at the girls, they're just a small part of a really stupid big campaign. The campaign, is about breaking stereotypes, and the list of stereotypes that it breaks, are barely stereotypes to start with. Like, here: because nobody knew that. All I feel like saying to the guy organizing this thing is, what's the purpo...

My (somewhat?)best friend, my ex girlfriend?

So I was talking to my girlfriend yesterday (AKA the love of my life) and she said that I shouldn't give up writing on my blog, that it was a great hobby and I should pursue it, lest I forget how its done. I thought about it and kinda agreed, but emphasized how I had much less to say now. Then she pointed out how most of the posts on my blog are sad or angry, none of them are happy. I was like well some are funny at least, she said, its not the same as happy! that even the ones about the past girls  aren't really happy. So I said well they're as good as the times I had with them. So she said, " Are you sad, cuz that blog reflects that! You should write about the happy times you've had too not just the sad ones!" I told her how this blog wasn't a reflection of my personality but just a place I chose to vent in. "I mean even the name, - unspoken verses", that's what it says. "Well jackass, I've been hinting at you to do a pos...

The Last from Kazakhstan

First off, I'm a bad blogger. I had thought that I'd be writing more after that blog post, but, then I stalled, and now, it's been almost 10 days since my return from Kazakhstan. Anyway, so about society, it's pretty standard stuff. Except, that more women than men means, the women are out looking for decent guys more than the guys are out, (one of the Russian guys told me about some chicks who were out to get a guy for boyfriends or more - it was interesting to say the least :P ) And, well, we were exotic foreigners to them. And pretty somewhat flirty girls are always interesting. That said, I have a girl and I let that be known, unlike many others who were something completely different there. And yet, it seemed to me that because, the girls were more and the guys in scarcity, the guys were able to be rather dominating! Or maybe that's the culture! Anyway, I recently started a tech blog, and since the audience for this blog and that blog is pretty much a...

The first from Kazakhstan

привет That's "Hello" in Russian. That's how all the text around here looks. Anyway, so I'm someone who kind of did a deep study of the sexes and the human behaviour in Kota. And right when I was starting to think I'd seen it all, I came here. I'm here with about 25 students from college.. 15 boys, and 10 girls. This is day 4 of my arrival in Kazakhstan. I made friends with a guy, and the way I work with a new place is, I wanna usually find someone smart, be friends with the local people, and know how the society here works. As Indians, who watch American TV, and American movies and read news about the United States of America, and go to the United States of America, we are somehow wired to see all Caucasians/White people, as similar to Americans in behaviour. We expect, friendly, open people, who talk and make friends. Then we also expect, that even if the friendship may lead to more, they don't discuss in large groups, (like a group of le...

Mother's Day

I had the flowers delivered to my mom on Saturday morning, a day before mother's day. Cuz on Friday night, I thought, the next day was Sunday, mother's day. Tell me this happens to you folk too?
